Don’t miss V2 of Spinnaker Gardening Days, your open source hackathon.

Register today to join Spinnaker contributors on July 16-23 to learn and build. The buzz around our inaugural hackathon brought the community together, so we’re launching V2 as a weeklong event with team placement and project matching support, SIG projects, free compute from AWS, a global-friendly schedule, and much more. All are welcome! Automate your SDLC and extend the ecosystem with us.

Continuous Delivery Foundation

The Continuous Delivery Foundation (CDF) serves as the vendor-neutral home of many of the fastest-growing projects for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). It fosters vendor-neutral collaboration between the industry’s top developers, end users and vendors to further CI/CD best practices and industry specifications. Its mission is to grow and sustain projects that are part of the broad and growing continuous delivery ecosystem.

With respect to values and principles driving the Foundation, the Foundation:
i) believes in the power of Continuous Delivery to empower developers and teams and to produce high quality software more rapidly;
ii) believes in the open source solutions collectively addressing the whole software delivery lifecycle;
iii) fosters and sustains the ecosystem of open-source, vendor neutral projects through collaborations and interoperability; and
iv) advocates this idea and encourages collaborations among practitioners to share and improve their practices.

CDF will have an open governance model that encourages participation and technical contribution and will provide a framework for long-term stewardship and sustainability for Jenkins, Tekton and other CI/CD tools.

The CDF will evangelize CI/CD methodologies, define/document best practices, and create training materials to enable any software development team around the world to deliver code changes faster and more reliably.

The CDF will also provide software development teams with an OSS-based, open development model.
The initial projects hosted by the CDF are Jenkins, Jenkins X, Spinnaker, and Tekton. The CDF’s Technical Oversight Committee (“TOC”) will be accepting new projects in the future.
